Hey! I'm Alex, an author, speaker, coach, and devoted "mindful walker". I've walked more than 6,000 miles in the last decade right here in my suburban neighborhood. Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this for?

The Gateway Program is for anyone who wants to learn to nurture their body, mind and spirit in a simple, natural way. Whether you are looking to save time, save money, simplify your fitness, reduce disease risk, or lose weight...mindful walking could be the answer.

How do meetings work?

We'll meet together live on the Zoom platform in a weekly class on a different aspect of mindful walking and how to apply it. This is an interactive mentoring program, so your input is not just welcomed but is critical. When we meet inside our private online "room", we will be able to see and hear each other, just as if we were together in the same physical space.

The day before each Monday 3 pm Eastern time meeting, you will get a link to join online, through your smart phone, or via a phone line. If you can't make any one of the four meetings, no worries - You'll have access to the recording shortly after the meeting concludes in both video and audio format.

How much time will this take?

I expect our calls to run about an hour each week, but there is no attendence requirement! You can come and go as you need to. I will stay around as long as is needed to answer questions at the end oI will also offer live "office hours" each week for Q & A. You will have weekly optional "assignments" which are meant to be practiced during short walks. I recommend planning for a 10 to 20 minute walk as often as possible, but I'll help you develop a schedule that works for you.

What if I don't like it?

The program comes with a 100% guarantee. I stand behind all of my work. That said, mindful walking can't change your life if you don't actually take the steps yourself! If you decide that The Gateway Program is not for you, simply email me at alex@themindfulwalker.com to request a refund prior to our second meeting on May 1 and I'll take care of you, no hard feelings. After May 7, no refunds will be offered.

What is 'Zoom' anyway?

Zoom is a web-based platform for interactive video calls. It's extremely easy to use and does not require you to do anything more than click a link. Unless you choose to use the app on your smartphone, there is no need download anything. I have attended many meetings on this platform and it works beautifully.

What if I can't make a meeting?

No worries! You can submit any questions or issues you may be having to me via email or inside our foum and I'll answer during the meeting. Every meeting will be recorded and, as a member of the program, you'll have full access to those recordings after the call. Recordings will be provided in both video and audio formats.
